SC.912.L.14.1 "Describe the scientific theory of cells (cell theory) and relate the history of its discovery to the process of science."
SC.912.L.14.2 "Relate structure to function for the components of plant and animal cells. Explain the role of cell membrane as a highly effective barrier (passive and active transport)."
Learning Objectives
Using the Internet, students will locate and properly recite the definition of the cell theory with a 100% accuracy.
Using Inspiration, the students will construct a diagram depicting the process of the cell theory discovery to the process of science with a 95% accuracy.
Using PowerPoint, the students will relate each cell structure of the plant and animal to its specific function with a 95% accuracy.
Using Microsoft Word, the student will design a flyer that informs the reader of the important role the specific cell structure plays in life.
Using Movie Maker, the group will compose a video that depicts the roles of active and passive transport in the cell body.

Things to do...
Create a PowerPoint of plant and animal cell structures and functions. Give notes for students to study for quiz and their PowerPoint assignment.
Reserve laptop carts for the students to use for PowerPoints and digital videos.
Assign groups for the digital video project.
Create handouts depicting the structures and functions for students to take home.
My expectations from this week...
This week, I hope that the students will be able to verbally express to me what the cell theory is. I want the students to be able to see the structure of the cell and to know, off hand, the function. I want the students to have knowledge of passive and active transport, and for them to describe, in writing, how the transport is important to cell life.
